Welcome
Manchester Community College, founded in 1963, is an open admission college, offering over 75 associate in science and associate in art degrees, and certificates. Student enrollment is approximately 15,000 (full and part time, credit and credit-free).The 160-acre, beautifully wooded, state-of-the-art campus is easily accessible from I-291, I-84 and I-384 - just minutes from Hartford - with plenty of free parking.
Costs and Facts
Tuition is low (only $118 per credit hour + fees, '09-'10) and the class sizes are small. The climate is student-centered and student life is very active.MCC is a NJCAA Division III college, with intercollegiate athletics for men (soccer, baseball) and women (soccer, basketball), and the college sponsors 25+ students clubs and organizations.
MCC accepts applicants with proof of high school/GED or college completion, immunization and a $20 application fee.
Information Sessions
Admissions information sessions are held monthly on a Tuesday evening from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM in the Community Commons, located on the second floor of the new Great Path Academy building, room GP 203. Please park in lot B, enter the Great Path Academy building, which is adjacent to the parking lot, and go to the 2nd floor. For a list of available sessions, please view our admissions events. Reservations are not required.
Campus Tours
MCC campus tours are held on Thursday afternoons from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m, leaving from the Admissions office located in L156 in the Lowe building. Reservations are required, please contact Eli Arzola at earzola1@mcc.commnet.edu or call (860) 512-3218.
Reminders
Online applications for winter intersession 2009 and the spring 2010 semester are availble at http://my.commnet.edu/. New students and transfer students may apply online, which requires the $20.00 application fee.
New, Readmit, and Transfer Students may apply by mail, fax (860) 512-3221 or in person using the Admissions Application (PDF format).
Readmit students and students who have attended another Connecticut community college do not pay the $20 application fee.
High School Partnership Students - *New Policy Effective Immediately*: High School Partnership students who are registering for a science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) course for the spring 2010 semester may register in the Admissions office beginning January 7, 2010. High School Partnership students who are interested in registering for any other course will be allowed to register on January 20th, in the Admissions office.
