Emergency Medical Technician

This course prepares students for the Connecticut state-certified EMT initial examination and provides them with entry-level skills needed to work as an EMT.  The course is also useful for police and fire department personnel, ski patrol members, and other emergency personnel.  Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, or have a waiver signed by a parent/guardian prior to acceptance into the program.

For more information about upcoming EMT classes, please see the "Allied Health" section of the latest Credit-Free Catalog or download a flyer.

Please note: The EMT course is challenging, and it requires a high degree of commitment in order for a student to successfully complete it.

If you have questions about the EMT Program, please contact: Diane Mitchell, Credit-Free Allied Health Coordinator, at dmitchell@mcc.commnet.edu, or at 860-512-2826.
