Credit-Free Courses

MCC’s Credit-Free Program offers open enrollment courses and workshops for professional development and personal enrichment, and promotes the College as a regional center for lifelong learning. Please see our current Credit-Free Catalog for a complete listing of courses. You can also download a registration form to use after choosing your courses.

Courses are flexibly scheduled for day or evening and during weekdays and/or weekends. Classes are held at either the MCC campus or at off-site facilities, such as fitness centers, studios, schools and businesses, while other courses incorporate field trips to museums, parks and performing art centers.

The Credit-Free Program has four sessions (spring, summer, fall, and winter), and produces a catalog for each session. More than 1,000 courses are offered each year, and include a diverse range of subjects, such as computer technology, photography, real estate, boating, arts & crafts, cuisine, foreign languages, English as a Second Language, drama, creative writing, publishing, dance, music, history, exercise and fitness, yoga and meditation, and a host of other professional and personal development courses. New courses are added to every session, and popular ones are offered on a continuing basis. If you have teaching experience in any of the above subjects and would like to share your expertise, please visit our Teaching for Continuing Education web page.

Credit-Free sessions also include certificate programs, which may consist of a single course or a series of courses. Please visit this site for a complete list of certificates and requirements.
