Stand Against Racism

April 28, 2011

Stand Against Racism is a movement of the YWCA with the goal of bringing people together from all walks of life to raise awareness that racism still exists.

This is a national movement. Schools, businesses and organizations across the state and country are participating in Stand Against Racism events today and throughout the weekend.

At MCC we take pride in providing learning opportunities for diverse populations. This also means respecting diverse views and perspectives. As part of the program, we showed portions of the critically acclaimed documentary, "Skin Deep: College Students Confronting Racism," and attendees participated in an interactive discussion about race relations in our communities.
