    QPR Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Training

    QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer -- three simple steps that anyone can learn to help save a person from suicide. Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help.

    Planet Pulp: Show Opening and Gallery Reception

    Opening reception for a special show on loan from The New Britain Museum of American Art, featuring selections from the Robert Lesser Collection of American Pulp Art. Although it was the stories that kept readers buying pulp paperbacks, cover artists had the crucial job of transforming pulp authors’ words into visually dynamic scenes that would grab potential readers’ attention. This exhibition features original oil paintings from pulp covers with the paperbacks. The show runs through November 1, 2014.
