    The "Tony Harrington & Touch Band" will be performing a mixture of R&B, Jazz and Reggae. These local CT musicians have performed all over New England and New York, making regular appearances at the Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods Resort Casino. Come join us for an evening of R&B, Jazz and Reggae. Wine and beer will be served by Bin228 and the music will be hosted in our relaxing and beautiful downtown Dehn art gallery.

    The Stretto String Trio is comprised of three faculty members from Beller's Music: violinist Bronwyn Burns, cellist Carlton Burns, and violist Tyler Garuder. The trio studied at the Hartt School of Music and have performed professionally from Hartford to San Francisco. Join us in the beautiful downtown Dehn Gallery for classical and jazz selections performed by violin, viola, and cello.

    MCC on Main Presents JoyCo Jazz Trio

    The JoyCo Jazz Trio is comprised of Brian Kearsley (tenor sax), Hugh Allen (bass) and Ray Kingston (cymbals and drums). The trio is an offshoot of the popular New England dance band, JoyCo. The JoyCo jazz trio plays mostly instrumental soul and jazz standards, as well as some suitably arranged pop tunes for jazz combo.

    MCC Annual Passover Seder

    MCC Annual Community Passover Seder. Please join us for our annual Passover Seder (a feast commemorating the Exodus and Liberation). This Seder is a special treat because the cuisine is Greek Sephardic, which is delicious Mediterranean fare. The event is a bit “early” this year because of the Jewish calendar and Spring Break, so mark your calendars. The dinner is only $12, but reservations are required.

    A Live Musical Chronology of Opera

    MCC Organization of Active Adults will explore the musical languages of composers throughout the vast history of opera. A wonderful range of arias will be sampled in live performance. Andrew Pergiovanni, founder of Hartt's Composer Ensemble Chorus, will lead the program. Amanda Kohl, a Hartt graduate and accomplished soprano, will sing. Accompanying will be Miguel Campinho. Miguel has performed in his native Portugal and in several European countries, as well as the United States.

    7:00 PM - Guitarist Frank Varela is a graduate of the Berklee School of Music, teaches at Summit Studios in Manchester, and has recorded with such jazz legends as Larry Coryell, Jimmy McGriff, and Max Roach.
    8:00 PM - Poets Ellen LaFleche and Michael Casey. Ellen has published three chapbooks, including Workers' Rites, which won the Philbrick Poetry Award. Michael, a Vietnam War veteran, has published widely since his 1972 Yale Younger award, including his newest, Check Points (Adastra Press).
