    "Go Back to Get Ahead" Open Registration

    MCC is participating in this Go Back to Get Ahead Open Registration opportunity at Three Rivers Community College. In one day, you can apply to MCC, speak with a financial aid counselor, speak with an advisor, register for classes and pay tuition. In addition to MCC and Three Rivers CC, Eastern Connecticut State University and Charter Oak College will be represented.

    Art Lab Presents: Locally Grown

    Art.Lab presents Locally Grown: Art Show and Sale. This exhibition of 5x7 works is donated by local artists to help raise money to benefit MCC on Main. Each original piece is for sale for $25. An opening reception honoring the artists will be held on Thursday, August 7 from 6-9 p.m. during Imagine Main Street's "First Thursday" event at MCC on Main. All are invited! Complimentary cocktails will be provided. Come check out the show, meet the artists and support the cause!

    Certified Nurse Aid (CNA) Training Program FREE Information Session

    A Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) job puts you on the front lines of patient care. You would work under the supervision of a nurse to help patients with daily living tasks. This program includes classroom and clinical instruction, in which students learn about basic nursing skills, anatomy, physiology, nutrition and infection control. In the clinical setting, students work with patients at a long-term care facility to gain hands-on experience.

    The MCC Community Garden will host the Connecticut Community Gardening Association's "Connecticut Community Garden Celebration" to encourage and celebrate the community gardens through out the state. Tours of the MCC Gardens, workshops for composting, PH soil testing by Dawn Petinelli of the Connecticut Soil Science Lab. Vendors, music, and special guest speaker Sherill Baldwin of the Conn. DEP about state composting and recycling programs. All are Welcome!

    Phlebotomy Technician Certification Information Session

    Do you work well under pressure, have excellent manual dexterity and enjoy working with people? Consider a career in phlebotomy! The phlebotomist collects blood samples for medical testing, blood transfusion, and blood donation, primarily through venipuncture, though other methods can be used, including finger stick, heel stick, or butterfly needles. Please join us to learn more about this growing career in the healthcare industry.
