Building Dreams for Students

For 50 years, Manchester Community College has been helping students to achieve their dreams of attaining a college education and providing our community with top-notch educational opportunities. With our state-of-the-art facilities and award-winning faculty and staff, MCC is committed to providing outstanding educational opportunities and a skilled workforce for our state.

Whether it’s the high-school achiever, the student who didn’t think college was for her, or the adult returning to college or attending for the first time, our open doors provide access to the promise of higher education. This year at commencement, our Valedictorian was an adult student, a mother, who started her own small business before even crossing the stage to receive her diploma – having received the inspiration for her product, the Krutch Kaddy, in a marketing class she had taken.

Just recently, another student who was interning at Connecticut Public Television was nominated for a Student Emmy through the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for an interview he conducted for CPTV.

Like our students, our faculty are driven to succeed. Earlier this year, Dr. Rebecca Townsend was honored by the White House as a “Transportation Champion of Change” for her groundbreaking research in the area of public transportation, a project for which she enlisted her students to help conduct research.

Your investment in MCC plays a key role in fueling these endeavors. We need you to help support our mission of advancing the academic, economic, civic, personal, and cultural growth of our students and our community.

I hope that you will share in our upcoming 50th birthday celebration. We have created new innovative programs, provided opportunity for more than 25,000 graduates over the years, and in 2013, we had the joy of witnessing 850 new graduates crossing the stage, prepared for the Connecticut workforce and universities. It's been an amazing 50 years of service to our community.

We look forward to another 50 years of building dreams for MCC students. Make a gift today and be part of our future, as you are of our legacy. Your gift directly contributes to the success of our students and our community.

Thank you for choosing Manchester Community College and for your ongoing support of the college and our students.
