Scholarship Sources

Several scholarships are available from the MCC Foundation as well as from other outside sources. Students are encouraged to apply for MCC and outside scholarships. MCC scholarships are awarded in the spring and fall by completing the MCC Foundation scholarship application. Criteria and eligibility for outside scholarships may vary.

Outside Scholarships

Below is a listing of scholarships from outside of MCC for which students may be eligible. Students should check the scholarship application to verify most recent eligibility and criteria.

SBM Charitable Foundation Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements

  • You must be a United States citizen and full-time resident of Hartford, Tolland, or Windham County.
  • You must have earned a minimum 2.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale, or be in the top 40% of your class in High School.
  • You must include a full copy of the completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or your valid Federal Student Aid Report (SAR) for tax year 2013. 
  • You must be applying to, or attending, a two or four year accredited college or university in Connecticut on a full time basis.
  • DUE DATE: Applications must be hand-delivered or postmarked by March 31, 2014
