    Planet Pulp
    Location: The Adolf and Virginia Dehn Gallery, MCC on Main, 903 Main Street, Manchester, CT
    Selections from the Robert Lesser Collection of American Pulp Art from The New Britain Museum of American Art. Although it was the stories that kept readers buying pulp paperbacks, cover artists had the crucial job of transforming pulp authors’ words into visually dynamic scenes that would grab potential readers’ attention. This exhibition features original oil paintings from pulp covers with the paperbacks. Opening reception on September 19, 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.

    Silk City EP Release Party and Concert

    Silk City, an all-around media concoction of awesome music, comedy, rock'n'roll, videos and television, is having their first ever EP Release Party -- and it's at MCC on Main! Come catch their live act! $7/pp at the door. Release party activities from 6-7 p.m., followed by a live concert from 7-9 p.m.; BYOB after 7 p.m.
