Get Real Estate Credentials Through MCC Credit-Free Programs

Single-family home prices have been improving, according to recent S&P/Case Shiller composite indices. Experts call it the biggest annual increase in six-and-a-half years and further evidence that the housing market recovery remains on track. Manchester Community College Credit-Free Programs is offering real estate courses to get people prepared to begin selling again.
Principles and Practices of Real Estate, which begins June 4, is the required course for real estate licensing. It provides clear explanations of modern real estate practices and a working knowledge of real estate in Connecticut. “Property owners, buyers, sellers, and anyone interested in pursuing real estate careers or operations will find this course beneficial and rewarding,” said Angelo D’Amato, who teaches the 64-hour course for MCC. D’Amato brings more than 30 years of real estate brokerage, sales, leasing, development, and property management to the classroom.
The course comprises 16 sessions, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6/4-7/30 (does not meet 7/4; exam date 8/1), 5:45-9:45 p.m. The fee is $485 (refer to CRN #20699 to register). Students must attend at least 60 hours of the total 64, and they must pass the course with a score of 70 or higher in order to sit for the State exam (the Salesperson Exam fee of approximately $80 is not included with this course).
“With the market improving, now is an excellent time to begin studying for a real estate license,” D’Amato said.
MCC Credit-Free Programs offers real estate courses throughout the academic year and summer. Details on the upcoming courses:
