Landscape Master Plan

The comprehensive facilities master plan initiated in 1993 resulted in the creation of indoor facilities that communicate Manchester Community College’s commitment to education that inspires the student, nurtures the learner, and unifies the learning community. The exterior facilities, however, do not achieve the same success.

The landscape master planning process was initiated in 2005 to address the shortcomings of the spaces created by the new facilities and to plan for the future development of the campus as a whole. The firm of Carol R. Johnson Associates, Inc. of Boston was selected to undertake this process in conjunction with the Master Planning Committee.

Headed by Tom Bavier, Dean of Administrative Affairs, the members of the Committee were Darlene Mancini-Brown, Director of Facilities & Planning; Susan Classen-Sullivan, Professor of Art; Greg Caldwell, Maintenance Supervisor-Grounds; Georgette Hyman, Assessment and Testing Administrator; and Sharon Mills, Administrative Assistant.
