MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Technology or other appropriately related field together with one year of related experience required. Demonstrated advanced knowledge and abilities in the following areas: application of computers and internet to transmission of instruction, including information technology literacy skills; familiarity with training methodology; familiarity with course management systems; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to work effectively with others and to take initiative and work independently. An understanding of the mission of the community college and a demonstrated ability to respond to and work with multiple constituencies and involvement in support of a culturally and ethnically diverse population are essential.

Administrative experience with Blackboard Learn, iTunesU, and a range of Web 2.0 tools preferred. Online teaching experience is also preferred.

Hours and Minimum Salary: 

$49,211 annual salary with excellent benefits.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the supervision of the Director of Educational Technology and Distance Learning, the Educational Technology Specialist is accountable for supporting faculty and academic staff with the implementation of instructional technology; providing training programs and support to faculty and staff on the use of instructional technologies, including course management systems; and providing administrative support. Other essential duties may be assigned consistent with the general scope of the position.
