College Honors and Recognition
The President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll
In May 2011, Manchester Community College was named to the 2010 President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll by the Corporation for National and Community Service. The Honor Roll recognizes higher education institutions that reflect the values of exemplary comunity service and achieve meaningful outcomes in their communities. This designation is recognition from the highest levels of the federal government of MCC's commitment to service and civic engagement.
(Renewal of funding for three years)
For the third year in a row, the Academic Community Engagement Program applied for and received a grant from Connecticut Campus Compact for MCC to host an Americorps VISTA volunteer for the 2011-2012 academic year.
