Commuter Services

The Office of Student Activities (OSA) works with Connecticut Commuter Services to provide information to our students, faculty and staff about ways to travel to and from campus other than driving one person per car. Manchester Community College (MCC) strives to engage our students and campus fully within the surrounding communities. No information on this webpage can replace the information gathered by speaking with individuals or making adult decisions about the pros and cons of each transportation option. This webpage is intended to be used for information purposes only, use at your discretion and at your own risk.

CTrides is a free service of the Connecticut Department of Transportation offering information and assistance on commuting options in your area. Whether it's sharing a ride in a car, vanpool, bus, train, telecommuting, biking or walking, there's a solution that works for everyone.

You decide what's best. And CTrides is here to help. Get information on:

  • Carpool matching or vanpool formation
  • Guaranteed Ride
  • Bus and train routes, schedules and fares
  • Park and Ride lots
  • Trial Ride
  • Bike and walk routes
  • Rewards for any shared trip, however you choose to get there!

NuRide is the nation's largest rewards program for individuals who take greener trips. A greener trip is when you don't drive solo and instead choose to walk, bike, telecommute, carpool, vanpool, take a subway, train, bus, ferry or even work a compressed week.

NuRide is free to join and free to use and is supported by governments, businesses and sponsors.
