Assessment Testing

Assessment testing is performed to ensure that students have adequate preparation for college-level courses; results are used to guide students into appropriate classes. Students must apply to the College prior to taking the test and tests must be taken prior to registration. You must make a test appointment! Please click on the link below. The test is comprised of two parts. The first part of the test is a computerized test called ACCUPLACER, where students are tested on mathematics, reading comprehension and sentence skills. The second part, an optional Challenge essay, is a writing sample. To read more about this Challenge option, please click here. Testing begins promptly at the designated time.  Students must bring their Banner Student ID number and Photo ID to the test session.  The entire test takes approximately 3 hours. Test Information and Sample Questions are available on this website.
